Key Stage 2 Class Teacher (Salary MPS)

Starting September 2020

The MAC Directors of the Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Company are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated class teacher for St. Gregory’s Catholic Primary School.  We are looking for a person who will actively support the Catholic ethos of our school.  Applications from non-Catholic people are welcomed.

We are a friendly school of 198 pupils and a dedicated teaching and support team of 28 staff.  In our recent Ofsted Inspection, January 2020, the Inspector stated that; “St Gregory’s is a caring school. The school’s Christian values shine through. Staff have high expectations of pupils. Pupils rise to these. They are keen to learn and do their best. Pupils get on well together. They are respectful and kind. As one pupil said, ‘It is easy to make friends because everyone cares about each other.”

The successful candidate will:

  • Have the ability to lead a foundation subject across the school, promoting good practice in teaching and


  • Be a consistently good or outstanding classroom practitioner.
  • Have the passion for learning and high expectations for themselves and their pupils.
  • Have the ability to motivate and inspire pupils and provide challenge in their learning.
  • Have experience of successfully meeting the needs of SEND learners.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to form positive partnerships with parents.
  • Have the energy, enthusiasm, ambition and a long-term commitment to teaching.
