Exciting Playground Development
With the help of National Lottery funding and the expertise from Pentagon Play, we’re delighted to announce that we’ve further improved our EYFS outdoor play provision with some fantastic playground additions.
Our exciting new range of play equipment, will encourage role play, physical development, mark making, expressive arts, teamwork and investigative learning.
The new additions will also help develop the children’s communication and language, PSED, fine motor skills and their understanding of the world.
For role play activities, we added a Small Playhouse. One day, the house could be a Bakery while on another day, the house could be transformed into a Vets.
To encourage children to learn through messy play, we installed a Mud Kitchen and a Covered Sand Table. Everyone is looking forward to tasting the delicious mud pies and cakes that the children are going to create.
We now also have a brilliant Climbing Wall to build children’s climbing confidence and promote physical activity.
To help target the area of expressive arts, we added a wonderful Performance Stage which includes Den Posts to enable children to build dens and decorate their stage with themes.
Additionally, we installed an Outdoor Whiteboard and White Board Top Picnic Table for mark making and a Mirror and Batonka Panel for further imaginative and creative play.
The area has also been brought to life with natural looking artificial grass.
We worked with Pentagon Play on this project and highly recommend them to any school looking to develop their outdoor play space.
