Our Lady’s Rosary Week – 11th May – 15th May 2020
At St. Gregory’s, we are committed to supporting our neighbours across the world through our faith and continually embrace our role as children of God. We remember Jesus’ words ‘You must love each other, just as I have loved you. If you love each other, everyone will know that you are my disciples.’
We are delighted to be taking part in the Maisy Milk ACN: School Rosary Pledge this year. The initiative aims to join families across the United Kingdom in praying one decade of the Rosary each day for one week in May. The focus for this year’s initiative is to pray for peace in our world and ask for Our Lady’s intercession and protection on behalf of Syrian families and Nigerian widows and orphans. We are asking all pupils and families to join us in praying one decade of the Rosary each day for one week, commencing Monday 11th May until Friday 15th May. With our children alone, our pledge will be equal a total of 1,075 decades of the Rosary.
We hope that together, as a community, we can bring make our intercessions stronger in faith with Our Lady this May.
Rosary Week Challenge:
Can you make your own rosary bead? If you would like to participate, I have set the whole school a 'Rosary Week' challenge to create a rosary bead using items from your household/or nature. You may say the Hail Mary as you're putting your rosary bead together. Here is a beautiful example made by Mrs. Joseph!
Please send me your creations so that we can share these with our community!
