Eco Brick Half-Term Project!

Eco-Bricks are a building block that are used to save the planet.  They are plastic bottles filled with the types of plastic waste that we can’t recycle.  They can be used to build all sorts of things, from furniture to buildings.  At St Greg’s we want to make a stool for the playground.  Spare Eco-Bricks will be taken to the Boston Tea Party, which is our local collection point.

We want your Eco Bricks!

All you need…

A 2-litre plastic bottle

Some non-recyclable, clean plastic

A long stick (a paint brush is good)

Method

  • First stuff as much non-recyclable plastic into the bottle.
  • You must make sure that the plastic and bottle you use are clean and dry
  • Make sure that you can’t squish your bottle at all (you should be able to stand on your Eco Brick and in not change shape)
  • Next, weigh your bottle.  A 2-litre bottle should weight 500g
  • Bring your Eco-Brick into school and give it to the planet protector in your class
  • Make sure you bring your Eco Brick in by Friday, 6th March 2020

THANK YOU FOR HELPING US TAKE CARE OF GOD’S CREATION BY KEEPING PLASTIC OUT OF LANDFILL!
