Task 1: Times Tables
This week, I would like you to practise your times tables using multiplication wheels; helping you to build on our missing number problems. Mark with the answer sheet to spot any mistakes!
Task 2: Maths - Fractions
Our current unit in Maths is 'Fractions'. Use the sheet to practise your fluency, reasoning and problem solving. Remember to keep your resilience and determination!
The answer sheet is attached in a PDF for you to mark with your parent. Like we do in school, it is always good to use some time after to have another go at something you may have found difficult and want to correct!
Task 1: Spelling
Today, I would like you to practise your homophones by completing a dictation. Ask an adult to read out the sentences for you as you try and spell the homophones correctly. Self mark your dictation.
Task 2: English (This week, to begin the Term, you will be completing a series of short booster tasks to recap your Grammar devices)
You will be practising your inverted commas. Look at the text and add inverted commas where you think they need to be placed to edit the writing. I have set an interactive activity on Purple Mash if you would like to have a go; followed by completing the worksheet.
Mark with the answers attached.
Religious Education Weekly Task:
This week, we will be looking at a special passage that reminds us of the presence of the Risen Christ.
1. Read/Watch the story of 'Breakfast on the Shore'
2. Discuss with your parent some of the questions below to reflect on the story:
Why do you think Jesus appeared to them?
What was important about this story?
How did the disciples feel?
How do you think their life was changed after?
Discuss: These stories remind us that, the disciples shared food with Jesus and through this they were once again able to share his life. In Holy Communion, Christians believe that they are sharing in the risen life of Jesus in a very special way. Every Sunday God’s family gathers together to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and welcome his presence in Holy Communion.
3. Complete the activity where you need to put yourself in the shoes of the disciples to answer the questions set
