Task 1: Times Tables

This week, I would like you to practise your 3, 4 and 8 times tables using our TT Rockstar sheets.

Remember you can log in to your TT Rockstars to play the games and battle against each other.

Mark with the answer sheet to spot any mistakes!

Task 2: Maths - Fractions

Our current unit in Maths is 'Fractions'. There is a video on White Rose to support home learning and explain the methods taught.

Use the sheet to practise your fluency, reasoning and problem solving. Remember to keep your resilience and determination! The answer sheet is attached in a PDF for you to mark with your parent.

Like we do in school, it is always good to use some time after to have another go at something you may have found difficult and want to correct!

Task 1: Spelling

Today, you will be practising words spelt with /ay/ spelt ei, eigh. I have set a game on your 2Do on Purple Mash if you would like to use this before or after to check your knowledge. Self mark your spellings after!

Task 2: English

This week, you will be practising your Reading Skills i.e. Prediction, Inferencing and Recount. Remember to use your EVIDENCE and CLUES to justify!

Topic Weekly Task

How did our Ancient Ancestors communicate?

Did they communicate in the same way as us?

Where were Egyptian communications commonly found?

Think about some of the questions above. What are your existing thoughts?

Today, you are going to find out and put into practice Egyptian Communication. Task 1: I would like you to read the Information text below to find out about the use of hieroglyphs and how they were used. Task 2: Time to be imaginative and creative! I would like you to choose one of the following activities and create it using Egyptian Hieroglyphs:

- Recreate the symbols using objects in your house or garden

- Write your name or create a message

- Write the alphabet

Below is an example of Katie and Vikki recreating the hieroglyphs using outdoor materials. Let's see what you can create :)
